Police drone units, K9s and the Massachusetts State Police Airwing were all said to be participating in the search.

Aerial images from the scene showed multiple Canton police cruisers and at least one state police cruiser in the parking lot of what appeared to be an industrial building of some sort. A drone was also seen being deployed.

In an update around 9:15 a.m., Canton police said the Will Drive scene "is now clear," and that their investigation was ongoing.

In a press release issued Wednesday afternoon, police said they initially responded to an address on Will Drive to investigate "a subject believed to be on the property with a firearm." Witnesses said the person had an object believed to be a firearm in his waistband. The subject then left the area on foot.

After an extensive canvas of the area, police said they were unable to locate the person. They said they believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the public.
